Mangalam College of Engineering (MLM) stands supreme in the field of technical education with excellence and quality in education. In keeping with MLM's goal of excellence, the academic programs is supported by well experienced and dedicated faculty, which is committed to equip the student with knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today's rapidly changing world. Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University in Kerala, MLM is promoted by the Mangalam Educational Society, with a mission to bring out leaders for a technology – driven environment.

The college has a boys hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. The hostels are provided with spacious mess halls and modern kitchens. Caring wardens and a tight security ensure a pleasant stay, allowing students to focus on their studies. The rooms provide the most modern facilities and privacy. Each student is provided with a cot, a table, and a chair in their respective rooms. The students of all programs live together in the hostels which helps in developing a healthy and cordial relationship with them. Ragging is strictly prohibited. The hostel is annexed with a kitchen & dining halls with facilities to provide food in a protected and hygienic environment. The mess serves to the taste of all cuisines. Healthy and nutritious food are served. The common room with T.V is also there. The hostel has also facilities for indoor games. Internet and Computer Facilities are also available in the hostel. Security guards for the hostel are on duty round the college.
